  Been a member for almost ten years. Very intellectual preaching, they definitely like the idea of an "educated" Christian. Church wasn't as big and therefore more personal 10 years ago when I first came. Now many different services are held and it is hard to get anyone to interact with you on a personal level. I have experienced firsthand some poor leadership decisions, but hey. No one is perfect. I can forgive. The music is very good, both the alternative style worship service and the traditional are very uplifting. BUT. again it is so big it seems like everyone has their own little group and don't really venture out to know visitors. Go and experience it for yourself, I am just telling you what I've seen in my 10 years of attendance.

  Joey and I began visiting churches in Cleveland County after he retired from full-time minister of music. We had kept up with Putnam and her activity over the past 25 years. We began visiting and joined the fellowship there a year later.
  
  We are an evangelical Baptist Church. The teaching, preaching, and administrative decisions are biblical, as all, but not all, should be. Our staff is devoted to teaching the Word of God and discipling others.
  
  We are a large church for our area, around 600+ in attendance. Therefore, a goal of ours is to get individuals into connection groups for discipleship and fellowship. Early on we were invited to join several connection groups and quickly found one that "fit" us. Not only do we belong to one group but, we also lead two other groups.
  
  If you come to Putnam and have not found your place of connection, look Joey and me up. You might like being a part of our study/fellowship groups.
